🐾 A Home For The Holidays!
288 W 9th St - Fond du Lac, WI
Sandi Paws Rescue has purchased our first permanent building to house rescue operations, offices, supplies, donations and equipment!
Our new location, at 288 W. Ninth St. at the roundabout with Military Road, has ample storage, office space and parking.
Since Sandi Paws’ inception 10 years ago, we have run the rescue out of founder Victoria Timreck’s home, along with a rented space on North Main Street and two storage rentals. Donations to Sandi Paws and fundraising by the organization enabled Sandi Paws to purchase the Ninth Street location, which will allow our organization to consolidate our operations and provide a location for animal adoptions that occur outside of monthly intake events.
The building does need some work: painting, flooring, electrical, insulation, roofing and plumbing. Anyone interested in helping transform the space into a home for Sandi Paws should contact sandipawsrescue@gmail.com. We need donations of money, equipment and labor as we transform the space in preparation to take full occupancy by the end of February 2025.
Sandi Paws will not use the building to house rescue cats and dogs. The all-volunteer, non-profit organization will continue to place rescued dogs and cats into foster homes while they await adoption. We will continue to host monthly adoption events at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds Recreation Center and regional locations.
Sandi Paws needs volunteers to fill a number of roles as we strive to provide safe, secure homes for hundreds of rescued dogs and cats each year. To see how you can help, fill out a volunteer application or email us at sandipawsrescue@gmail.com.
